Boys and Girls ages 6-14. $10 covers entire nine weeks.
Kansas City United will offer for the ninth year its weekly soccer academy for boys and girls ages 6 through 14. The academy will introduce premier level soccer by teaching fundamentals of the game, including how to properly pass, dribble, and shoot, and basic feints. The academy will lay the foundations for the decision making necessary for learning more advanced tactical concepts in the years to come.
During this time the player will continue to play on his or her own recreational team. Academy coaches will make every effort to see at least one of these recreational games to assess the progress individual players are making. Parents will also be sent weekly emails detailing the materials covered in each session and suggesting fun training activities parents and children can do together.
The cost for the entire nine-week program is only $10. The cost includes registering the player with the Kansas State Youth Soccer Association, which provides insurance coverage for participants.

The Academy will introduce premier level soccer by teaching fundamentals of the goalkeeping, including how to properly: position, catch, block, and distribute. Emphasis will be on proper and safe technique.
